Check the reference and company
The most common reason a bill does not open is a mismatch between the company selected and the company named on the bill, or a digit error in the reference number. Copy Reference No directly from the bill rather than typing it from memory. Keep all leading zeroes. The reference must be between 10 and 14 digits; spaces and dashes are removed automatically.
The portal shows no bill for your reference
If PITC accepts the reference but returns no bill, there are several possible explanations. The most common is that the current month's bill has not been published yet — this often happens in the first few days of a new billing cycle. An account may also have been transferred, which sometimes changes the reference number. Compare the reference with a recent physical bill. If you believe the reference is correct and a bill should be available, call or visit your distribution company's subdivision office (shown on the bill) to ask about the account status.
Blank page, timeout or service unavailable
If PITC's own portal is slow or unavailable, the bill cannot be retrieved regardless of which tool you use. Try opening the official PITC page for your distribution company directly in a browser. If that is also unavailable, the outage is on PITC's side and the only option is to try again later. If the official PITC portal works but this site does not reach it, use the contact link to report the problem with the company name and any error message (but without your bill details).
Wrong company, wrong bill or wrong account details
If the bill opens but the account name or address does not match yours, stop and do not pay it. A reference number entered for the wrong company will either return no bill or, very occasionally, return a valid bill for a different account. Select the correct company and try again. If your reference consistently returns the wrong account, contact your distribution company using the contact details on a physical bill or a verified company website.
The bill is difficult to print
Wait for the PITC document to finish loading before printing — the load indicator in your browser tab should stop before you try. Use the bill page's Print button if it has one, or your browser's File → Print command. Inspect the print preview and adjust the paper size, orientation and scale to fit the content. On mobile, Save as PDF may be in the Share sheet or the browser's overflow menu rather than directly on the page.
Common questions
Why does my electricity bill not show on PITC?
The most common reasons are: the bill for the current month has not been published yet (check again in a day or two), the reference number has a digit error, or the wrong distribution company was selected. If none of these apply, contact your distribution company's subdivision office.
I keep getting a 'no record found' error — what does it mean?
PITC found no bill matching the reference number and company combination you entered. Double-check both. If you are certain they are correct and the account is active, contact your DISCO — the reference may have changed, the account may be suspended, or there may be a data issue at PITC.
