Where is the reference number?
- 1Reference No — use this. Usually 14 digits printed in groups. Type the digits only; if a letter such as U follows them, leave it out.
- 2Consumer ID — not this. A separate, shorter number. The checker and the PITC bill page need the Reference No.
- 3Meter No — not this. Identifies the meter on your wall. Use it to confirm the bill belongs to your meter.

Your bill, explained
Know what you are paying for.
Every bill has the same eight blocks, whichever company sends it. Read them in this order and you will know whether the total is right before you pay.
- 1Account details. Reference No, tariff and load. Match them with an older bill before you pay.
- 2Dates. Bill month is the period billed, reading date is when the meter was read, and due date is the payment deadline.
- 3Meter readings. Present reading minus previous reading, times the multiplier (MF), gives the units billed.
- 4Company charges. The cost of those units, plus per-unit adjustments such as the fuel price adjustment.
- 5Government charges. Duty, fees and taxes collected through the bill, mostly worked out from the charges above.
- 6Arrears and adjustments. Unpaid amounts carried forward, or credits. A higher total can come from here rather than from more use.
- 7Amount payable. Pay the within-due-date amount on time. The after-due-date amount includes the late payment surcharge.
- 8Bill history. Units and amounts for past months. Compare with the same month last year, not only last month.

Look in the account-details area near the top of a previous bill for Reference No. Copy every digit, including zeroes at the beginning.
Finding a billIs Customer ID the same as the reference number?+
No. They are separate identifiers. This checker uses the Reference No field; some official provider pages offer a separate Customer ID search.
Finding a billCan I find a bill using a name, CNIC or phone number?+
No. This site does not search personal identity records. Ask the account holder or provider for the current reference number.
Finding a billCan I use the reference number from an old bill?+
Usually yes because it often remains stable. Use the newest bill available if the meter, connection or account holder has changed.
Finding a billHow do I know which electricity company to choose?+
Match the full company name or acronym printed at the top of the bill. A city alone may cross more than one service area.

The provider may be wrong, a digit may be missing, the new bill may not be published yet, or the PITC service may be temporarily unavailable.

No. We are an independent help website. The actual duplicate bill is supplied by PITC and your electricity company.
Can I search by name, CNIC or phone number?
No. The checker uses the reference number printed on a previous bill. It does not search personal identity records.
Does a duplicate bill prove that I paid?
No. Keep the receipt from your bank or wallet. A duplicate bill may not reflect a recent payment immediately.
Can I check K-Electric, gas or water bills?
No. This checker supports the eleven PITC electricity distribution companies listed on this page.
