FAQ
Common questions
Quick answers about bills, PITC, and how we help.
How do I check my electricity bill online in Pakistan?
Open CheckBills.pk, enter your 10–14 digit reference number from your printed bill, choose your DISCO, and view your duplicate bill from the official PITC portal.
Is CheckBills.pk free to use?
Yes. There is no login or subscription. You only need your reference number and an internet connection.
Which electricity companies are supported?
All 11 major DISCOs including MEPCO, LESCO, FESCO, IESCO, GEPCO, PESCO, HESCO, SEPCO, QESCO, TESCO, and HAZECO.
Do you store my bill or reference number?
We do not require an account. Your reference is sent to PITC to render the bill in your browser; treat your reference like a sensitive account number.
Can I pay my bill on this website?
No—this site is for viewing your duplicate bill. Pay via JazzCash, Easypaisa, bank apps, or authorized counters using your reference number.
What if my bill does not load?
Check that your reference matches your printed bill, retry after a minute, and try another network if PITC is slow. For wrong readings, contact your DISCO.
Where is my reference number?
On the top section of your electricity bill, often labeled Reference No. or Consumer Reference. It is 10–14 digits.
Is the duplicate bill official?
The data comes from the same PITC portal your DISCO uses. We display it without editing line items.
What is FPA on my bill?
Fuel Price Adjustment reflects changes in generation fuel costs. It can raise or lower your bill even when usage is similar month to month.
Can I use a duplicate bill for a bank or landlord?
Many institutions accept an official duplicate or PDF. Confirm requirements with them.
How do I reduce my electricity bill?
Improve efficiency (LED, inverter AC), shift heavy loads off peak hours if you have TOU metering, and monitor slab tiers. See our blog for detailed tips.
Who do I contact for outages or wrong billing?
Contact your distribution company using the helplines printed on your bill. CheckBills.pk cannot change meter data or restore power.
Does CheckBills.pk work on mobile?
Yes. The site is mobile-friendly so you can check bills on phones and tablets.
Where can I read guides about bills and payments?
Visit the Guides section at /blog for articles on FPA, payment methods, and understanding your bill.
Is CheckBills.pk affiliated with WAPDA or my DISCO?
No. We are an independent tool that helps you access official PITC bill data. For formal disputes, use DISCO channels.
